Logic Demands the Existence of God

By Ajit Krishna Dasa

Theists often put a lot of energy into crafting arguments for God’s existence—cosmological, teleological, moral—like they’re building a logical fortress brick by brick. But here’s the twist: the strongest argument for God isn’t built *with* logic—it’s logic itself.

Think about it. Logic is universal, immaterial, and unchanging. But if the universe is just random particles and chance, where does logic even come from? How do abstract, timeless principles like “A equals A” emerge from a world that’s supposedly nothing more than atoms smashing together? If everything is just chemistry and evolution, why should we trust that our thoughts connect to any real truth?

That’s where God comes in. If God is real—rational, unchanging, and absolute—then logic has a home. Logic isn’t some weird cosmic accident; it’s rooted in the very nature of God. It’s reliable because He’s reliable. Universal because He’s universal. Without God, logic is unexplainable, just free-floating rules with no foundation.

So here’s the real deal: the best argument for God isn’t just playing the logic game—it’s recognizing that logic only works because God exists. Rejecting God while relying on logic is like cutting the branch you’re sitting on. Logic itself is proof that God isn’t optional; He’s essential.
